Bus Routes/Registration
Dear G16 Families,
We are reaching out to inform you of critical issues affecting G16 transportation services for the upcoming school year.
Like many districts across the country, we are facing a severe shortage of bus drivers. Additionally, several of our buses are out of service due to mechanical issues. As a result, we will not be able to operate all of our traditional bus routes this year. We will be able to provide limited transportation services and are working diligently to redesign our routes based on the resources available. This will likely mean:
- Fewer overall bus routes
- Consolidated or centralized bus stops
- Longer walks to bus stops for some students
- Some students who live close to their school may be required to walk, as we may not be able to provide transportation for those within a certain distance
While we strive to provide transportation for as many students as possible, it’s important to note that school districts in Colorado (and most states) are not legally required to provide transportation services. Our goal remains to support families to the greatest extent feasible given our current constraints.
We need your immediate help as we redesign bus routes based on our available resources.
Please complete the short Google Form linked below to tell us:
- Whether your student(s) will need bus service this year
- Which consolidated stop(s) best meet your family’s needs

If you will not need transportation services—meaning your student will not ride a bus to and from school this year—you do not need to complete this form.
This information is critical for us to plan safe and efficient routes with the limited resources available.
We understand these changes may be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and support as we work through this challenging situation.
